Looking For Advise On Backups

If you don't plan to play online and are sure you won't change your mind, then the Kreon is the way to go. You can install it in your PC and rip the games with XBC with no extra steps.

If you decide to go with the 0800 drive you have to have a connectivity kit to power it and with the Benq you have to power it up, eject, turn it off, close halfway and power back up. (then I usually have to hit eject again) It's quite easy to do but just a lot of extra hassle if you don't need the security for online use.

Do you have to do that for a samsung also or is it just the benq? From what ive gathered around it seems the benq is the best reading drive is that correct? I dont mind an extra min of pushing buttons if its a superior product over the other 360 readers.

PS any suggestions on where to pickup a cheap benq vad6038? ive seen some on ebay for $20 but really try to avoid ordering from hong kong

Thanks xboxdawg for the info

I don't know bout the samsung ones, maybe someone who has one can let us know.

I got my benq from ebay but luckily the person was in the USA. They only had the one drive though. Someone had a link for a US company selling drives over in the firmware forum. I thought I bookmarked it. If I can find it I'll post it here. There were in the $40 range though if I remember right.

As long as they have good feedback you should be ok with the hong kong sellers but it may take 2 weeks to get here.

I just looked on ebay, several USA sellers. I don't have any connection with these, just some random samples. Always check out the feedback before buying from anyone. I didn't do it on these, just pulled some random USA sellers.
