any newer DL burner will work.

 bit setting was to accommodate older firmware, its not important anymore, so you no longer "need" to get a certain pioneer etc. drive.

I use the one that came with my new pc. works great.

Samsung SH-223 has worked the best for me. I have had 3 in the past years and this ones is the quickest at read/write/verify. Its pretty cheap too. I got it for £22 new OEM
