Pioneer 111d Help Question

I've burned many dvd's on cheaper no name medias like memorex & TDK's for the past 4 years on my pioneer dvr-111d and has never ever failed until this past week. Now I keep getting power calibration errors. I did all things to fix this issue from cleaning the lens, changing IDE cable, & disable imapi in the services. I also swap out the drive with a Memorex DL burner Model #dvd+/-DLRWL16 D2 with the same results. Can this be a power supply issue? My last test will to test a verbatim. let me know what you think, thanks.
