Backups Work But Only Sometimes...
« on: January 17, 2010, 10:51:00 PM »

I recently got a used 360 from Ebay and it came with a Liteon 7xxxx drive. I flashed it with ixtreme 1.61 fw. I can get originals to work fine most of the times. Sometimes  I get open tray error and I just open tray and close it and the game works. But with backups, I am having a tough time. Lot of times I get open tray and sometimes after the game loads i get unreadable error. The same disks at other times works without problems and I can play for 1-2 hours without any issues. Sometimes the games work fine but the cutscenes have skipping and audio distortion. Sometimes I also have the games hanging and only resort is to power off and come back. I am wondering if the whole console has some issue. I am thinking of trying a new drive with spoofed key. If that does not work, I dont know what options I have.

It might be your choice in blanks. Not all discs are created equal.

I only use Made in Singapore Verbatims...I thought they were the best and anyway they work on friend's Benq drive
