Hi!
As the topic "says" I have some questions about booting Wave 4/Wave 5 games, like L4D 2.
First of all, I know that one method to do this is using the activate.iso disc. But I just read that this won't work with for example L4D 2 because since it's a Wave 4/Wave 5 game (Wave 4 PPF but a Wave 5 video-partition) it will force you to update your dashboard when you've put in the activate.iso disc and then try to play the L4D 2 disc. And when the update have started the console will reboot after some progress, and then try to continue updating after the reboot. But since your drive won't read the disc after rebooting without putting in the activate.iso disc first, and the update will continue instantly after the reboot, this won't work.
Is this true?
Then there's another metod. Patching the .iso with 360 Wave Patcher before burning it so the game becomes a Wave 3 game.
This seems to work but will it be detectable by MS that I've played this patched disc in my Xbox later?
I know that iXtreme is detectable now, and that MS is banning tons of people right now. That's why I'm staying offline until the new iX (LT) will be relased. When it's released and I'll probably safe @ Live (at least for a while) with it I want to make sure that I won't make any mistakes right now that can get me banned later. So that's why I'm asking.
If I patch the .iso I know MS can ban me if I put it in my Xbox when I'm connected to Live, but I will not do that of course. I just want to make sure that if I play a patched disc when I'm offline, the Xbox won't log that I've done so, and MS can't ban me because of that when I go online later.
I've also heard that you can download the latest dashboard update from
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemus...stemupdates.htm (which right now seems to be
http://download.microsoft.com/download/D/1...Fall09_8955.zip ), burn it, put it in your Xbox 360, update your dashboard, and then use the activate.iso method to start the Wave 4/Wave 5 game, and it will work.
Can this be true?
If both burning the update and then using the activate.iso disc + the Wave-patching method will work, which method do you think would be the best method to use for me? As I mentioned earlier, I want to use a method that won't be detectable later when I'll be using iX LT @ Live with other games.
Would be very thankful for replies.
Thanks in advance. (IMG:

P.S As I have mentioned in my first threads here, I'm from Sweden and I'm 16 years old so my English isn't very good, but I hope you understand what I mean. (IMG:

P.S #2 I have a Lite-On drive so don't reply that I can use iX 1.61 if I have a BenQ or Samsung drive, please.
