Any Activate Iso ?

hi all is the activate.iso specific to each firmware or can you use any ?

thanks for the answer, what i meant was say if i have a samsung firmware can i use any activate.iso thats packaged with other firmwares ?

or is it a requirement to use the one  that is packed with the samsung firmware ?

a mate of mine thinks hes on 1.6 but the activate.iso does not work!
