Help: Getting Disc Read Error

i can burn and play most games.. but sometimes after 10 minutes of playing, i get a disc read error. getting it with nhl 10 right now. using verbatims. anyone have any ideas?

The laser could be on its last legs. Does it happen on any other games?

it happens for other back-up games.. all my regular games work.. this xbox is fairly new too.. was bought about 9 months ago

Yeah I'd say it's your laser. Lasers have to work harder to read backups and so wear out quicker. You could try a pot calibration.
