What's The Deal With Dirt2 And Beatels Rock Band?

Hey guys I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but when I go to boot a back up of beattels rock band or dirt2 I get a blank screen. The only way around this is installing game to hdd. Do you guys think this is that API 2.5 being used now????

So far, The Beatles Rock Band was the only game that I've had that had to be installed to hard drive. I think people it was a PAL rip and all my other games were NTSC.

Sorry but this is an NTSC rip from the copy I own. The original works fine no hdd install it is just the backup

I have had no such problem.  But I did get a dirty disk error one time while playing the TB:RB.  And then all of a sudden the game came back.  I thought it crashed.  But it didnt.  Weird

i have the same problem with my backup which is pal but no problems with dirt 2 originals work fine but backup has to be installed to hard drive with the beatles

im having the same problem:

My own rip from retail NTSC. using schtrom.
Since its my own rip, i only use abgx360 to verify stealth, i never patch.
It all checks out fine.


The original works no problem
The backups (3) sometimes freeze up. One got a dirty disc etc.

It gets to the EA logo, then black screen where the intro video pops up, but sometimes it takes forever or doesnt come on at all.

Once I copy to HDD, it works fine. But that much is obvious, or should be.

I even reripped the game and reburned (The 3rd backup).

Hope this gets figured out. Guess ill just leave it on the HDD.
