My Detailed Guide On How To Backup Xbox 360 Games
« Reply #30 on: October 13, 2009, 03:49:00 PM »

A common problem that i've run into with few users who were having problems ripping/burning was that they did not have FULL ADMINISTRATIVE RIGHTS to their PC. Definitely something to look out for, i didn't actually think of this but i've fixed alot of ripping/burning problems by letting the people know to logon as admin.

Just another helpful tip for those who are having issues smile.gif

Thanks!

Hey people, i made a few adjustments to my guide after a few little quirks others were having, namely the autofix level for creating your backups. I've also updated the version of Abgx360 and Xbox backup creator software for everyone to use. Hope this guide keeps coming in handy for you all smile.gif

Every thing looks fine but there's one step missing and that's the first step flashing your drive with the right firmware to backup your 360 games using Xbox Backup Creator I just found out that you need the drive flash with IXtreme 0800 I'm using the Benq VAD6038 to flash the drive would I use Jungle Flasher like I would flashing the drive with IXtreme 1.6 or do I need some special tool to do so ? thanks

Doesn't imgburn have a different layerbreak set as default than the one needed for xbox360 games? So wouldn't it be wise to include a step that changes the default layerbreak in imgburn to the one that original games have?

I'm not 100% sure about this, which is why I'm asking...I have heard ppl say you need to set a correct layerbreak.

Don't for get the 1913760 number too hope this helps, just trying to making the how-to better he did a good job on his little site keep up the good work. O don't for get to add 4x is the 'sweet spot' when using verbatim DVD +R DL. Tip about buring a disc something I Learn in my School %100 on that Exam the dvd heats up to 400F to 600F or more on some CD's and DVD's you can cook a turkey with that heat lol  muhaha.gif

Thanks for your advise,

To be honest i have never needed to set the layerbreak to: 1913760 within IMGBURN, never, and i am pretty confident that my customers who use this guide would be complaining more if this step needed to be taken?

Is this only necessary for some games, because i've never needed to set this option, maybe opening imgburn from within XBC sets this option by default for you?

Thanks for the 4x Tip i will definitely add this to my list, i was using another brand of media the other day and burned at 2x and it didn't read in the 360, burned again with the same media at 4x and works flawlessly smile.gif

Sorry the guide assumes you already have flashed your Xbox 360 Drive with Kreon firmware, or have already purchased a Kreon drive for use with my guide...

Please let me know if there's some other pointers i should worth mention as it's for you guys afterall smile.gif

Quick update on layerbreak  - it doesn't need to be set if you use imgburn through Xbox Backup Creator because XBC will set it to optimal settings within the app itself smile.gif

When used through XBCr do not set the layerbreak to manual, XBCr will manage this for you. In Tools/Settings/Write/Options Layerbreak should be “Calculate Optimal”.

Hope this helps...

Also worth noting that media plays a big part in a successful write and one that doesnt work!

Well this was fun to read over and looking back at this just reminded me how far I come when I started to hack my x360, but wild I was doing so I said there's no Real information besides what you would get from the app's Readme and some times there would be no Readme Plus X-S try's there best to keep up the Scene but can't keep writing full PowerUser Guide's about the applications. So I said to my self I'll get PINNED witch I did. Wild your guide at the time seamed good witch it was but most of it is wrong Sorry but when I had to Rip all my games over because of your misleading guide that's when I started with everything that add to do about making your backup work, Ya I know I don't talk about JF just a link because they keep up there Guide so without Furred announcement I,ll TELL You about your Guide noting got updated besides the post you left here....

Is Kreon ok on forums.xbox-scene.com

Keron drives are no more good besides to the ones that got the Ban Hammer.

The problem is that Kreon's firmware does not do an actual measurement to get the angle just the x360 drives when Extracting the SSv2. sad.gif

News: Microsoft Now Banning Players Over COD:MW2 Glitch, so getting the Ban Hammer can be anything these days Ya.

Xbox backup Creator this app is falling behind you wont be getting newer Relese's that just came out for that your going to need Schtrom360 Xtract S360X v4.1 Also included in my Guides that I have for the X-Scene.

ABGX well here's where it starts there is no reason to use (Verify if Stealth Passes under the Options Tab) and a shit load more I'm not Ripping my games twice that takes 1:30 mins to do and have  something downloaded from someone else to change my games data that was  from the Original don't go online when checking your game, if you see Checking for updates to GameNameLookup.csv  Disable your Network Connection goto Start Button Run type ncpa.cpl hit  enter and disable your connection. When Stealth Check Passed! and  AnyDVD style corruption was not found comes back Green it's safe to  play on iXtreme Firmware. Read my Abgx360 Gui Guide everything is Offline!

To me the AutoFix Threshold: Level 2  and 3 are for Pirate's that Download game's from the internet, so if  you know that it's %100 from the Original and you compared them your  self with "Program Output" to HTML there is no reason to use AutoFix  Threshold: Level 1, 2 or 3 because it will Download or Fix the .ini  from there (DB DataBase) (GameNameLookup.csv) and replace your Original  with something else from there (DB DataBase).

How do you know their info is better than yours!

-  On two occasions recently, rip of original games did indicated 'DMI  unverified' in ABGX, even after a second rip. A few people confirmed  they extracted their original and got the exact same image and the same  difference to the DB.

I do not want to draw any conclusions  (data not good, more than one version of stealth info...) as it would  be speculation. Only thing sure, nothing better than your data, from  your original and that is all we accept to see discussed at XS All  Threads / Posts on this will be closed

I to add this problem DON'T Listen to what the app is saying just made two Copy's from the Original compared them your  self with "Program Output" to HTML using AGBX360
. Booted up on the x360 with no Problems. smile.gif

Wxripper & Mulleter/ABGX Method:
For the same reason as above, these threads will be closed. This would  the equivalent to downloading the SS, PFI, DMI...We only allow  discussion on backups made in totality by you, and with all components  coming from your original and for that you need a Kreon witch are no more good besides to the ones that got the Ban Hammer or x360  Samsung/Benq/LiteOn drive's flashed with iXtreme v1.61 or 0800, v1.61 Integrated 0800 for game dumping including SS v2!. As such, you will be able  to do complete backups, no need to download/fix anything with Online DB. blink.gif

Besides you don't have to Select anything because everything is  Automatic and this Guide was put together for X-S + PowerUsers, so if  you feel Overwhelmed by the settings just stick to your One Click  Backup witch I don't Recommend. torch.gif

To PhoneyVirus

Thanks for your input, im glad your guide has been pinned, but please don't go around saying that all others guides are not correct, or were the start of your troubles.

To be honest, i have supplied my guide to those i have sold Kreon Drives to and i have never once had anyone complain about not being able to rip their games, including the newer games that have been released. Yes there have been troubles where certain operating systems and versions of applications may have cause problems, but nothing i haven't being able to solve for the end user - I am not here to say my guide is the best, or yours is, im just here to help out the community thus the reason i put together the guide in a step by step instructional matter, and it has helped out alot of members already so please don't accuse me of being wrong.

I highly doubt the the banhammer was not targeted as modded consoles only, and please do realise that those that have not once placed a backup in their modified console had also been banned (has nothing to do with the way games had been stealthed)

Thanks for the input though smile.gif

I can't be leave he answered back LOL smile.gif

Don't go around saying that all others guides are not correct, or were the start of your troubles.

I don't go around saying that all others guides are incorrect just yours change the AutoFix  Threshold: Level 1, 2 or 3 in your guide then you can say yours is correct, in my Guide you get to use the Application two ways yours just TELLs them what to do and only one way again wheres my Guide tells them two ways Online and Offline! I was going to just let this slide but after I seen this "were the start of your troubles," Sorry but when I had to Rip all my games over because of your misleading guide I kind of got mad but at the time was having fun. The only thing I ask of you is to change the AutoFix  Threshold: Level 1, 2 or 3 in your guide let them know this is only needed if you got a Kreon drive and don't care about Live or just got Banned.

Team Jungle posted a new update on their twitter page:

All new checks found, all fws (stealth and non-stealth) will fail these checks and get flagged for banning, except LT!

I am not here to say my guide is the best

Well there ant much to say about this because my Guide is the best for New Comer's + Powerusers and if it wasn't they would of never PINNED it. Pinned:: **HOW TO CREATE WORKING 360 BACKUPS The Ultimate Guide to Xbox backup Creator and Abgx360

Im just here to help out the community thus the reason i put together the guide in a step by step

This  is just my saying your stealing traffic to go with In Your Face Ad's  and i don't care, anyone that wants to follow your guide must not care  or just don't know. I not a mean guy Ya my mouth may be BIG but I don't  like fighting and when I do I can't remember what the hell happen, lets  just get along smile.gif I would say your guide is a QuickGuide if you tell them about the AutoFix  Threshold: Level and then again the App try's so hard to send data out to there server that AutoFix  Threshold: Level just ant going to cut it or  "Disable Writes" that's why I say Disable your Network Connection because it downloads something no matter what, like I said I'm not a mean guy but nice with a big mouth. I would stay here all day and try helping with the guide but got a hell of a lot to finish, Copy & Paste off my Guide if you got to, download the PDF. The Guide was written for the members of forums.xbox-scene.com and no one else! and you my friend I hope are part of the Scene I watched the Views on your Post go from 500 to 4000 and that was in Oct 2009 last year my Guide launched Oct 31 2009 Named TRICK R TREAT Views 5100+. Also it would be nice to have a QuickGuide because it can get a little Crazzy with the settings so I hope things work out for the Best. smile.gif

I took out some mean things that was best said in my Head because it can get a little atomic warfare. I Respect the Readers and Helpers Plus the Community for putting up with Crazy Questions. Again I hope this can work out. smile.gif
