Kreon Help

Kreon firmware isnt for any drive it only works on certain drives and its for PC drives not xbox.

Also you need to use XBC (xbox backup creator) to make your back ups.
Wxripper is way out of date and no longer safe.

Also when your burning use good quality media, stick to verbatim only.

These are the drives that support the kreon firmware

SH-D162C (IDE)
TS-H352C (IDE)
SH-D163A (SATA)
TS-H353A (SATA)
SH-D162D (IDE)
TS-H352D (IDE)
SH-D163B (SATA)
TS-H353B (SATA)

Kreon firmware only supports the drives I listed, The xbox drive isnt one of them.
To rip with the xbox drive you use another method. 0800 firmware for your brand of drive.

If you flash to ixtream 1.6 it has 0800 mode built in so you dont have to keep flashing your drive to 0800 mode then normal mode.

With 1.6 you just have to power the drive with half open tray to enable 0800 mode. And if you power it on with the drive closed or fully open it goes back to being a normal hacked drive.

All this has been explined in greater detail on other posts. Just do a search for "1.6 0800"

You will need XBC 2.9.

And what you do is.

Power computer and xbox off.
Hook computer sata up to xbox drive.
if you are using xbox to power the drive you will need to earth the xbox to the computer case (having them just touching each other is good enough.)

Then you need to have the xbox drive in half open tray mode.
If you dont know how to do it heres a method.
Power on xbox eject tray, Close tray with your hand but hold it at half open while you pull the power out.
Make sure its at half open then plug the power back into the drive making sure the cable is correct way up.

Now power on the computer, the bios should detect the drive. And windows should load up.
If windows is taking a long time to load up just close the tray on the xbox drive some times I have to close it some times its fine.

Then boot up XBC 2.9 and it should detect your drive,
Open the tray and stick your game in.
Go to drive tools tab.
Click unlock.
Then go back to main tab and make sure full back up is checked then click start.

It should rip the game now.

If your drive isnt getting detected by XBC you need to make sure you have 1.6 firmware, XBC 2.9 And that you booted in half open tray method proply.

You only use the 1.6 0800 if you only are using the drive for ripping. Just normal 1.6 should be fine if you still want to use it in the xbox, Also half open tray mode with the 1.6 0800 only firmware stop its reading intill you boot it normally.

You only need the Active.iso if you want to play non stealthed games. If turns off the stealth features of the drive intill you power the xbox off so its useful for playing really old back ups that arnt xbox live safe.

I also hope you have saved your xbox dvd key so you can still use the drive in the xbox but that you said you know how to flash and have done it before I guess you have saved the key.
