I was just answering that question for others. I will try connecting to the PC this evening at the motherboard and see if that helps.

It's cool, it should work, hopefully.

both 1.6 800 firmware, and XBC now released.

I have a sammy ms25 now flashed with new 800, and using new XBC. works great.

So did you have problems with the original 0800 firmware? Is it inferior to the new 1.6 FW?

I have a Via vt8237 / 8237 onboard chipset
I flashed my spare BenQ (and Samsung) to the original 0800 FW.

520a 530c 580e and no drivers doesn't work for me really. I'm thinking that I need something other than the via chipset. When I load xbc 2.9 and 2.8 I have the issue where it won't allow me to read. The drive is detected, but the read button is "grayed out" as they say.

no. not anything that i noticed, but the update log says it reads a new ss v2 so i updated.

If you are connecting to the via cards you need the via drivers installed. I use a simple USB to sata connection and a CK to power it,  so i don't have to open the case every time I'm gonna backup a game.
