You could head to your local best buy, pick up a new burner (external for simplicity, plug n play) see if that corrects your problem. That what i picked up when my 360 was flashed and it's great. I use an external LG. If it does than you know it's your old burner. If it doesn't just repack it up and return it.

Can't really condone such practices...
Besides, it's a LG. Last time I checked, owners of LG and Samsung burners weren't overly enthusiatistic about the usability of their backups.
Pioneer 116series probably gets most recommandations. As for recommended media.... not going to echo that.

Since you verified your images, the problems lies elsewhere. You need to check how well your burner gets along with that batch of discs. As well, as how well your reader (in the xbox360) performs with the discs, made with that burner.
(Whether burn speed does play a role or not, I haven't tested that myself, so I'll refrain from making comments on that.)
recapping and repeating the things that've been said, and you could try:
- check whether you have the latest firmware for your burner
- check how other users' experiences with those discs, e.g. google the media code.
(There are cases where media have 'fake' media codes, but that's a different matter.)
- try different discs / media code
- try a different burner
(Visit cdfreaks for burner reviews, so see whether there's a review of your burner at cdfreaks. I decided to go for Optiarc AD-7200, as it produces DVD+R DL discs with nice quality ratings, almost regardless of discs' grade / brand.)
- check the quality of your discs with nero DiscSpeed
(Was a real revelation to me...)
- try the discs in an other (modded) xbox
For the more tech. savvy
- pot. modification of your xbox 360 reader
Good luck.
