Hey all

My setup:

Drive: Hitachi 47DJ [Flashed with iXtreme 1.4 at 8x]
Media: Verbatim DVD+R DL
Titles: Rock Band 2, Fable II

Issue:

I've found that my drive will randomly not read the DVDs and give me the "Open Tray" message. For example, today I booted my 360, inserted Rock Band 2 and it gave me the "Open Tray" message about 4-5 times, I kept putting it back in, wouldn't work.

The sound the drive made was different than it does when it actually reads the disk properly and works. It's not a bad sound, it just sounds like it is "pulsing".

I then thought to just power off/on the 360 with the disc in there and it worked perfectly. Moreover, after playing RB2 I took it out and put in my backup of Fable II and it also booted right away without "Open Tray" error. Although this could possibly be because I installed my backup of Fable II to the 360 HDD.

Anyway, my questing is whether or not I should be concerned here. It seems that my drive will initially just not be able to read the media but if I simply open/close the tray or restart the 360 it works fine?

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
