Backup Will Play On Benq But Not Hitachi
« on: February 14, 2009, 04:51:00 AM »

Hey all,

I have a particular backup which won't play on the Hitachi 0078fk I flashed today with iXtreme 1.4.  It gives the dirty disc error.

The same disc works just fine on a previously flashed BenQ.

The Hitachi is able to play all other backups just fine, it is only this one which gives the error.

Can anyone provide me with an answer/fix?

Thanks.

Actually now its two backups, both by a certain well known company who make sports games.

Should I just try reflashing?

REAL info would help:

1) What did you use to make the .iso?

2) did you stealth check the file?

3) what did you burn it to? (media)

I find that my hitachi will play about half of the backups I burn for my benq.  All of them burned with imgburn on verbatim 2.4 dl discs, all pass abgx verification, etc.

I think it's just the hitachi drives, but this is based on nothing more than my experience with them...some I can never get to work, while thy play fine on other drives.

Sorry you're right.

ISO's are with XBC.  Fully stealthed, Splitvid, pass all tests on ABGX and Mulleter. iXtreme 1.4 is on the Hitachi, I think maybe a slightly less up to date version on the BenQ (the first iXtreme for the BenQ, I haven't updated it since then).

Burnt with imgburn at 2.4 on verbs.

I have now burnt two copies of one game with both give a dirty disc error after trying to load, and one which gives "unplayable disc" at the dashboard.  The dashboard on the Hitachi is not NXE, while the one on the BenQ is, not that that should make any difference?

Are Hitachis just more temperamental?
