yes you should be OK, nonoeed to go in the options tab

just go in write, at the top in the scroll dwn select your drive. If it is not there, then try call imgburn directly with the .dvd file

Sounds great.

My drive is present in the write menu.

Is it better to do burn using imgburn or xbc?

I found that in xbc I can do a stealth check, whenever I have an new backup game. If it passes the check, I should have minimum chances of being banned on xboxlive right?

I would say Imgburn will adapt more easily to all burner, but if XBC does good with your drive then it is ok.

After tdoing a back up, pass it thru stealth check of XBC it will ensure that all stealth components are there and there is no structure issue with them.
As far as live, anyway you should not bring your backups on live, your original will have no probs.

im using the same drive, i tried to burn forza2 with the sb03 firmware (newest) and wasted 2 discs.

then i downgraded to sb02 and burned a forza2 succesfully, im not sure if it was the burner firmware which was bad because i also made changes in the sata drivers and also i burned it without setting bookmarking to dvd-rom.

i was like oh shit when it started burning and i realized that i forgot something, then the disc came outta my drive and oh, it worked like a charm.

the first 2 wasted discs i burned with the newest ImgBurn, the only working rip i burned with the newest CloneCD. today i tried to burn halo3 with again the newest firmware and CloneCD got stuck at 60%, then i tried to close the program but it didnt respond, so i waited 15mins and the disc came out and failed abgx360 test(bad rip)(Game CRC).

im not so much into wasting discs when trying to figure out which change or combination of changes made the one disc working but i think thats the only way to do it.....

I have the same drive. I tried to burn a backup of karaoke revolution, and the dvd was barely readable. I was using SB03. then I downgraded to SB02, as magez did, and burnt another copy. This one was better.

I was able to boot into the game, but ran into read problems even before I started playing. So I´m switching back to my old trusty pioneer drive.

by the way, i used verbatim dvds and wrote them at 2.4x, so that should have worked instead of producing coasters.
