SOme Kreon user had problem connecting to Via card, try your computer sata port

yeah, I would also recommend using whatever onboard sata port you have.  If there's still issues, try schtrom.  I've always used it and never had problems.  It seems my comp doesn't like xbc that much... so I have issues with that.
