Double Post, I guess...

Someone told me that it could be the fact that my DVD DL Burner's laser is dying. I looked around some more and most people suggested Pioneer brands. I want to get an external one. Will that have the same compacity/quality of an internal burner?

I ebayed it and I found this:

Is this of any good or no? For $40, if that does the trick, then I'm getting it.
