that all seems pretty good in terms of burning, are you sure it is not that last image you are trying to burn causing the issue.

How have you done the backup?

that makes no sense, you will need a SS extracted with a ms25/ms28 or a kreon, why not do the whole backup with that drive then?
how did you extract the SS and merged it?

and in the end you do not have an image fully built from your original (ss is downloaded from Mulleter).

XS will only help you if you do the complete extraction from your original.
