I see you came to that figure because you divided 120 by the size of a 360 iso (7gb) What you're forgetting is that most games are far smaller when you take only the data into account. Most of the iso is just padding and dummy files.
The average game is probably more like 3-4gb when you extract only the files, meaning you'll be able to fit nearer to 30 on your hdd.
I feel that 10 games would be enough on the hdd, but that's a personal choice.

I guess the point I'm trying to get to is that having the HDD install in place, won't really make everyone decide they don't need to make backups anymore. Since you still have to use the disk anyway. If they or someone else ever introduces a full install with no disk requirement, then I'll be on board. I'd still have some issue with HDD size however, but can't imagine I'd need more than 30 games installed at any one time.
