Why Am I Getting An "open Tray" Error?
« on: February 02, 2020, 07:29:00 PM »

I have a BenQ DVD-Drive with an NME v2 installed on it. I have made working burned copies of a few games using the exact same process for every burn. I use the same discs, burner (and burner settings), booktyped to DVD-ROM in imgburn, I know that nothing is wrong with my install or my discs as I have gotten 3 out of 5 games burned and working and played flawlessly for hours. BUT the one game I wanted to backup the most out of all of them, Call of Duty 4, does not want to work. I have burned 6, yes 6 coasters of this one game. First with booktype off/normal, then booktype set "DVD-Rom", then reinstalled imgburn, then got a different image of the game and tried that same process again. ALL with the same result- I put it in, the disc never gets up to speed like the rest of my burns and it says "Reading" for a good 7 or 8 seconds  before I get "Open Tray".
Same with "GTA IV" which I just have to get to work as I only have an image of this game now because my original is no longer working. If anyone has gotten this error with COD4 and has found a way to fix it please tell me as this is the one game I want to get working, and then I will apply same method to GTA.
