Pioneer Dvr-115d Burn Fail
« on: May 29, 2008, 04:40:00 PM »

Hi Everyone,

I have a problem with burning my Xbox360 games.
First i had a  PHILIPS DVD+-RW SDVD8441 with Firmware PA49 as my standard DVDburner.
A seller told me that de Emtec DVD+R DL the best DVD+R DL was for burning Games so i bought them.
Later that day at home i want to burn GTA on the dvd's. ( Full name : Grand_Theft_Auto_IV_MULTI5_PAL_READNFO_XBOX360-iCON ) Everything going wrong. I've got many errors with this burner. I used Imgburn,CloneCD,DVD-Decrypter. While i set the layerbreak on 1913760 en i selected the .dvd file to burn. But someone else said that i had wrong dvd's and i must have Verbatim dvd's. So i bought 20 pieces of Verbatim dvd+r dl. A day later i will try it for the second time, and the burn proces going good.
I put my GTA in the Xbox360 and it said : 'This disc is unreadable'.
After further investigation my Philips burner cannot change the booktype/bitsetting. So i must buy another dvd burner. On other forums people guessed the Pioneer DVR-115D burner, because this burner set the booktype/bitsetting automatic if you burn a Xbox game. Couple of days later i had this burner at home, and i installed it on my pc. After this i'll try to burn GTA again with Xbox Backup Creator with 2x speed, and everything going well. Ill put the game in my xbox and it starts up with GTA.. but he not goes further then the first screen, nothing responding. After it fails again, i want to try Imgburn, i'll opened the .dvd with Imgburn and i'll set the layerbreak again on 1913760, then i starts the burn proces... but i fails at 1%, my computer cannot responding if i start the burn proces. So i must do a hard-reset to going back on my pc. I had also installed the latest firmware for the DVR-115D ( Firmware 1.18 )

I'll tried everything i think, hopefully someone would able to help me with this problem.

Many thinks,
