yusky03: check the media code on your Sonys (it will tell you in imgburn and other programs like nero cd-dvd speed or dvdinfo), if it is a MKM (MKM-001 or MKM-003) media code then you are already using verbatim... even if not, I still wouldn't trust Sony brand to always be the same kind of disks you are getting good results from, from spindle to spindle. There are only so many DVD media manufacturers, and Sony isn't one of them (they, like many other brand names, buy their disks from the manufacturers and brand them sony - and thus have the choice to not always use just one manufacturer as their source.)
Wilhelm_I: overall the MKM-003 are the better disks, but it depends on your burner as well. Some (usually older) burners just seem to "get along" better with MKM-001, as 003 is the newer form and on older burners that aren't getting updates you may not even have 003 support. But yeah, on burners that support both I and others have seen that 003 are definitely slightly better disks.
