Audio Cd Plays Sooo Choppy!
« on: April 26, 2004, 01:52:00 PM »

my xbmc plays songs that are stored on the HDD perfectly, but when it tries to play an audio CD (not burned... retail) the song plays really choppy.  Then the whole prog runs so slow that it is on the verge of crashing my xbox.  I have had to turn off the xbox to get it to stop.  Why does it do that?

FYI, the cd runs perfectly fine from M$ dash, so it's not the CD's fault.

I have the newest xbmc with all of the default settings running from the newest unleashX on an X2-4981.67 bios.  <

Try turning off the High quality audio resampling option and see if that makes a difference.

CD playback is fine on my xbox with HQ resampling enabled, however.  <

I turned off the high quality resampling and it works much better, but is still choppy... not to the point of lagging the xbox to a halt, but plenty enough to ruin the music.

Any other suggestions?  Could it be that the program has too many other things going?  Should I disable the newsfeed?  The skipping is so annoying...

I'll see if I can reproduce the problem.  <
