How are you ripping the game and what errors do you get on the rip if any?

I have a Benq too and the seek noise is louder w/ backups but they play fine.  Don't know how long the laser is gonna last but I guess i'll find out.  I don't think new lasers cost very much but I don't know how hard they are to install.  Haven't read up on it yet.

its probably ur laser or media your burning too, make sure ot use high end media since all others are usually cheap ridata type dye sad.gif

VERBATIM seems to be top atm.

also, maybe adjusting your laser's dvd pot will help read cheap media, unless ur using verbs. Mine used to do that until i switched to verbatims pop.gif

for the record my benq reads all my backups fine on verbatims, and 1.4 fw at 8x
