========================================================
XBC AutoCopy v1.2 by IamRock
Function: Automates the copy of an Xbox360 Game using Xbox Backup Creator
========================================================

Download: XBC AutoCopy

Download: Xbox Backup Creator
Thanks goes out to Redline99! Without his hard work, the scene wouldn't be the same!

This is not a stand-alone tool and requires Redline99's Xbox Backup Creator to be installed.
This is simply a script to automate the steps to copy a game to a blank Dual-Layer DVD.

It's now as easy as 1, 2, 3...
1. Insert the Xbox360 game into the Reader.
2. Insert a blank Dual-Layer DVD into the Burner.
3. Run XBC AutoCopy and walk away!

System Requirements:

You must be able to use Xbox Backup Creator normally, so you'll need:

-A modified PC DVD-Rom drive with supported firmware
-A modified Xbox360 DVD-Rom drive with supported firmware
-A DVD+R Dual-Layer DVD Burner
-Xbox Backup Creator v2.8 Build 275 or later
Read Xbox Backup Creator's Readme.txt for more info on supported hardware.

I'm not saying Xbox Backup Creator isn't easy to use, because it is.  But the process of copying a games takes 10 clicks which are spread out over a large amount of time.  So instead of having to be present during the read so you can acknowledge the read completion and begin the burn, you can just walk away and come back when it's all done.

...the process of copying a games takes 10 clicks...

Actually it takes 17 steps to copy a game with Xbox Backup Creator!  I know because I have been archiving my entire game collection over the past week or so before I found this.  This 1 click app is AWESOME!

Here are the 17 old steps that I wrote up so my wife could archive a few games while I'm at work:

1.  Insert game into the Reader
2.  Insert blank into the Burner
3.  Run XBC
4.  Select the Reader from the drop-down
5.  Click Start
6.  Enter a name for the files
7.  Click Save
8.  Wait for the read to finish (10-15 minutes)
9.  Click OK when the read is finished
10. Select the Burner from the drop-down
11. Click the Write Tab
12. Click Start
13. Select the new file to burn
14. Click OK
15. Wait for the burn to finish (10-15 minutes)
16. Click OK when the burn is finished
17. Close XBC

Does XBC AutoCopy work with older versions of Xbox Backup Creator or just the newest version?  Thanks.

Does XBC AutoCopy work with older versions of Xbox Backup Creator?

XBC AutoCopy has been fully tested with Xbox Backup Creator v2.8 Build:0275.
Other versions may or may not work.  What version did you have in mind?

There are also instructions on how to customize the script using AutoIt in the ReadMe file.  So if you prefer using a different version of Xbox Backup Creator, you can always give it a try and edit the script as needed if it doesn't work.

Is there a way to set the burn speed? Most verb 2.4x will burn at 8x in pioneer if left on auto but I prefer 2.4x

thanks

It always defaults to 2.4x for me so I figured it wouldn't need to be modified.  Does yours default to something else? If so, I can release a new version with burn speed as a configurable setting.

wow, thanks man.

If you are still open to suggestion, an option not to erase  the game files after burn. In case the burn is not good.

thnks

This is what I have as equipment

Found ODD: PIONEER DVD-RW  DVR-112D 1.24 at [E]
   Additional Info: 07/08/08  PIONEER
Found ODD: BJ0555R YZO450R 2.0B at [G]
Found ODD: TSSTcorp DVD-ROM TS-H943A ms25 at

and this what I have used in the setting file

but when xbc starts, it remains stuck on the pioneer in the drive select for the Read (and does not proceed). If I first start XBC and select the drive I (ms25) and then activates XBC autocopy, then it works. Seems unable to do the switch of the first drive to the desired drive.

FYI

What version of Xbox Backup Creator are you using?

Currently if the burn fails, AutoCopy aborts without deleting the image files.  That way you can manually use XBC to try the burn again.  Are you referring to something else?

I am using v2.8 Build:0275

As for the burning, yes something slightly different; when you burn it can burn OK but the resulting burn might not be the best (media problem, something running on the PC...) and after a scan (nero cd-dvd speed) you might decide to redo it. I would like to avoid ripping again until I have scanned the disc and know it is up to std.

thanks

Feel free to PM me and we can walk through some troubleshooting steps to see why your DVD reader isn't being selected.  I'll also start working on a new setting to leave the image files after burning.
