Hey xbox fanatics my names jp, im having some trouble with my 360.. could any one PLEASSEEEEE hellpp, any help would be appreciated. its driving me crazy. il tell you were im at
Ok.. i have a hitachi drive, flashed with firmware that im not sure of, (beacuse i payed sum 1 to do it a while ago) i no stupid.. I have the xblaster 360 ne installed, and have a sata to usb cable and my comp can read it fine (is ther a way to check which firmware you have?.. or if i need to update it?) (sorry im a newb)
now my problem is that, i cannot extract any ss files from my original disks. In the past i have been creating backups using the hot-swapp method, dumping the iso onto my comp, then merging it with an ss.bin from the net (i no its badd) with xbox merger v1.7. I do not want to this any more, i want to extract it myself using a series of programs, but this is what i need help with.
Ive read that also the xbox merger does not work any more because the guy didnt get enough donations (fair enough).. So anywayz ive also read that if you have a hitachi drive that the ss will not work with new firmware, im not sure which firmware i have but i am sure that i have not updated it. SO i have downloaded dvd info pro, and this doesnt work, so now i am trying to use xdvdmulleter but i am not sure how to, even though i have read tutorials, im just not sure of the limitations with my hitachi drive, EVREYTHING on the net is about samsung..
so basically wat i am trying to do is.. dump the game iso using wxripper.. then some how extract the ss.bin my self by connecting my 360 to my comp using my blaster NE and sata to usb cable, then merge it with xdvdmulleter.. is this possible?.. im not sure wat pfi and dmi is.. i've neva used that method b4.. (is it the only way?) ive been using the old hotswap method and merging the ss.bin with xbox merger v1.7.... i have created 15 successfull backups this way... i would LOVE to know how to extract a working ss.bin file myself so PLEASSSEEE can any one help me.. it would be GREATLY appreciated..
did i waste $90 on a xblasterNE??
Cheers.
jp
