Firmware On Benq
« on: February 03, 2008, 04:28:00 PM »

hi friends
this is the deal ,i had a 2005 xbox360 ofcourse it died at some point.
my question is this:
i dont play games online at all.
if i go buy new arcade and make sure its new ones with benq drive can i use older firmware on it?
like 4.2 or 5.2?(that dont require online stealth and all that,or whatever it is)
can i use it with the that program that creates bootable diskonkey and patches automaticly?(iprep,or whatever its called)
is it even good idea to buy another one or just wait untill august for the 65mm gpu and cpu?
any thoughts?
thanks in advance

you can flash it with the non-stealth ixtreme  firmware.
it will then play just about anything

So the Non-Stealth version's advantage is it can play anything, but the disadvantage is it will get you banned on Live?

Basically, if you're not using Live, you should use the Non-Stealth version?

Im not understanding why the non-stealth version would be better at booting and/or loading games, care to elaborate? I dont use live anymore so if it does work better it sounds like its worth a try.
