Another Way To Inject Ss Sectors Into Xbox 1 Isos On Pc?!?!?&#
« on: January 24, 2008, 11:44:00 PM »

Hi everyone.  I have a big problem.  I recently modded my xbox 360's MS28 drive with the new ixtreme 1.4 fw.  Everything worked great.  I can play backed up xbox 360 games, and all my original xbox 1 and xbox 360 games work as well.

So here's my big problem.  I can't play my backed up xbox 1 original games  on my modded 360! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uhh.gif)

I heard that you have to patch the security sectors (SS) on the ISO of the game, but I do not know how.  A month ago, before I modded my 360, I extracted all my original iso's from my friend's 360 drive.  I didn't patch/extract the SS sectors then, and I can't extract the ISOs again from my own drive because I don't want to reopen my xbox, install the fw, and what-not.  (I actually borrowed most of the supplies to flash my drive (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )

So my quesiton is: [/b]Can I use some program or something in order to inject the SS sectors into my ISOs so that my xbox 1 backups will work on my modded 360?  Or in other words, Is there another way to get the security sectors and inject them? Thanks, I heard XDVDMulleter may be able to do something like that, but it doesn't work for me at all.  Also, do you need the original game to get the security sector, or can you just use some "universal one" (XDVDMulleter stated this) or create one or some other option like this?  Also, getting those security sectors is the only way I'm gonna be able to play xbox 1 backups on my MS28 360, right?

Thanks for your time and input.  All help is greatly appreciated (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Im curious if i can even play backed up XB1 games on the iXtreme FW. Ive tried to convert one of my games (007 Nightfire) and after patching with SS,DMI,PFI,the Lyt file, Mullet wont make a iXtreme compatable Xb1 ISO at all, is this true that iXtreme FW users can NOT play xbox 1 xtreme backups or is there something no one talking about. thanks again

Alright I think that you need to need to check the box "random padding" in xdvdmulleter for the ixtreme compatible box to be checked.  (note: every box needs to be checked in order for the "ixtreme compatible" box to be checked!) But one cannot make an iso "randomly padded" once it has been zero-padded or something.  So I was wondering, for custom fw Xtreme 5.1, which doesn't boot just stealth backups, do you think it would boot xbox 1 backups that aren't stealth and are zero-padded? thanks in advance

Q3A-TaNK, i think that the "random padding" box needs to be checked for you (xdvdmulleter10), but you'd have to re-rip the game for this.  Do you think if I flashed to xtreme 5.1 fw, I could play these games that aren't "ixtreme compatible"?  You said you have xtreme backups that don't work on ixtreme, right? (note: I can't re-rip my games, as I used my friends tools and he moved hee hee hee!)

If you click on the random padding it doesnt save it so im not sure what to do if you can or not make a iXtreme compatble XBox 1 ISO at all.

Q3A-TaNK, your right, and I think I finally got it.  Okay your iso (xbox or xbox 360) needs to be "randomly padded" inorder to make a stealth backup (needs to be stealth in order to run on ixtreme fw!).  For the game to be randomly padded, the original ISO has to be ripped that way.  In other words, you can't just "randomly pad" an iso to make it ixtreme compatible and stealth.  However, if the ISO is already "randomly padded" (basically not zero padded and the box "random padding" is checked in xdvdmulleter) then you can make the iso stealth, as the rest of the things in mulleter needed to make an iso stealth can be found online

However, I don't think getting pfi, dmi, and ss sectors (plus a video partition) online is exactly legal.  So better just re-rip the original game with better programs and drives for stealth patching (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
