I've seen this question posted in a few places, but Haven't found the answer to my problem, so please please someone help me.
I have just bought a samsung SH-d162d drive flashed with kreon 1.0 firmware. I've installed it along with xbox backup creator 2.7 v 0265 and schtrom 3.4
Windows vista recognises the drive, and so do both pieces of software, but cannot backup games at all. With xbbc it takes forever to start, sees the discs as being about 7mb in size and the start button never lights up. None of the tests such as stealth tests work either.
Schtrom starts up, sees the drive, but when I try and backup anything gives 'MyGetAltPhysicalFormatInformation Failed'
I have tried it in two different computers, both running vista with the same results. Installed Windows XP on one computer with the same result, tried the drive as master, slave, you name it I have tried it. Also tried downloading a version of kreon and reflashing it myself, just in case that was faulty when I got it, but absolutely nothing will make it work for me.
Please help me, It's really frustrating. If there are issues with this drive, I will order another, maybe the 162c or whatever, But any advice here would be really welcome.
