Hello, I have a backup image on my computer of a 360 game and I'm having trouble successfully burning it. It does ask me to retry during burning but when retrying it continues to fail.

My DVDRW does support dual layer burning and the discs I am using are AONE 8x DVD+R DL

I am only writing at 2.4x and have browsed plenty of tutorials using the most common method of burning using IMGburn. I have also tried using Clone CD which also failed at about 43%.

My DVDRW DL drive is a NEC 3500AG with latest modded TDK firmware. It burns all other formats fine ie. DVD5, CDR etc I upgraded to this firmware after many unsuccessful writes with the original firmware and I still cannot create a successful back up.

I really do need help as I am wasting my discs really fast.

Please help me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thank you very much for all responses, I will be prompt in my own response to them.

Ahhh forget it!

Got myself a brand new Pioneer DVR-115D for 20 quid, no need to flash its firmware etc writes perfectly to Aone dvd+r dl discs. Successfully tested with IMGburn with correct settings used. No need to booktype using Pioneer.

They well and truly live up to their name.

I never had one write error, loading image error. They game plays fine on my box and I am content (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My advice to anyone wasting their DL discs is:

1. Buy a new Pioneer DL writer.
2. Use IMGburn to burn.
3. Dont let crap old writers burn to DL discs, you'll waste your time.
4. If you ignore this then you'll end up with more coasters than I did, in my case 3.

I have the same problem a year ago ... it is the DVD burner!

Pioneer + ImgBurn is the answer!

And you are using this cheap media RICOHJPN-D01 and it is ok for X360 too?
How many discs you have burned for X360?

Thanks
