Soulreaper, you totally misunderstand the issue. I am not going to retype the technical details, as I and many others did it months ago when the rest of the world was paying attention. The summary version is there was a bug in iXtreme 1.3 which under certain conditions would return an invalid value for the disc angle (mathematically, an angle can have a value from 0-360, but iXtreme was returning values > 360). This was finally discovered and fixed, thus iXtreme 1.4 was born.
All Kreon Checker does is determine if a disc could return an invalid disc angle when using pre-iXtreme 1.4 firmware. There are other factors involved (think "jitter"), so it's not guaranteed to happen, but "Bad Kreon" means it is possible.
But again, the bug was with the firmware, not Kreon rips (it could also happen with 0800 rips, although less often). There is nothing at all wrong with a disc that reports "Bad Kreon" and a more accurate message would read, "Pre-iXtreme 1.4 firmwares have a bug which cannot reliably handle security for this rip." If you are running iXtreme 1.4, you need not worry, because works as it should have all along.
Hope that explains why you need to upgrade.
