Not Sure If The Flash Worked...need Advise
« on: December 10, 2007, 12:15:00 AM »

I recently flashed my Hitachi drive (47D) with commodore4eva 2.4 stealth but I don't believe it worked. My xbox is fine and I have no problems getting on xboxlive. It won't read any game backups though.  Commodore4eva was supposed to make a backup of the original firmware but I can't find it.

Is there a way to tell if the firmware on the Hitachi drive is original or hacked?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply jesterrace, I appreciate it;

I got lucky and figured it out.  First, I happen to find the backup folder with the 5 files that Commodore4eva created when I did the flashing.  It had a new.bin and an old.bin.  So I opened up three instances of 360 FWtoolbox 4.0 on my PC...one for old.bin (original), one for the new.bin (dumped from flashing) and one for the C4eva firmware I downloaded.  This allowed me to view all three at the same time. It turns out that it did flash successfully after all!  I'm glad I had the patience to wait because I was assumimg it didn't work so I was going to try flashing with a different FW.  Which, after finding out it did work, I restored the original and changed to iXtreme 1.2.  Now I need to work on successfully creating backups of my games.

Thanks again!
