Original Xbox Game Cannot Be Played
« on: December 01, 2007, 07:43:00 AM »

ok, so i "backed up" the original xbox game... the .iso does not have any missing files... i did run the "backward compatibility" thing on my 360... when i put the backed up game in the 360 and load it, it starts off showing the xbox logo and then an error mssg pops up saying "this original xbox game cannot be played" and it gives me some "x:" and "b:" error code.

can ne1 help me?

It would help if we knew how you backed up your Xbox1 game? Plus what game is it? And is it on the list for backwards compatibility?

i downloaded fable tlc, which is on the list for bkward compatible games, and the thing came in multiple .rar files. I opened all of them in winrar, right-clicked the 1st .rar file and clicked "extract to." i opened the created .iso file with magic iso and burned the whole thing to a dvd.

after I ran the bkward compatibility CD on my xbox360 and loadd fable tlc, it loaded the xbox logo and then displayed the error mssg, sumthin like

"this original exbox game can't be played" with an "x:" error and "b:" error

I have the same problem.
Try to play my halo 2 backup but it gives the same error.
"This original Xbox game is not supported on your Xbox 360 console. An update to support this game may be available. For more info, go to www.xbox.com/games. X: 2689.0 B: 1884.0"

I flashed my 360 yesterday and havent tested a backed up xbox360 game yet.
So I want to know if I flashed my xbox360 good or not.

fkinconfused, can you do play xbox360 bacjups, want to be sure that I flashed my 360 right way cause maybe it is not flashed when you get the error.

Also what happens when you put a xbox1 backup in a non/flashed xbox360.
Wont the xbox read the disc or will it reconize it as a game but give error when opening?

sorry for double post but I had no permission to edit previous one or something like that.

I readed somewhere that  the error maybe means that you have wrong regio disc in console.
Maybe your game is ntsc and have a pal console.
If youre error code is X: 2689.0 B: 1884.0 too please let me know and also if you can play xbox 360 backups cause i want to know if I flashed good or not.
If you have same error and you do can play xbox360 backups it has to be the wrong regio disc I think.

back up your own game and the following happens

1. everything works
2. you don't get banned for admitting piracy
