Nope. I just tried the booksetting to DVD-ROM and it still doesn't work in my 360..

I just checked in DVDDecryptor and apparently it didn't actually change the booktype.. WTF sigh. 3 wasted Verbatims.

Please Help =)

With modified FW, the booktype should not be an issue anymore. With Original FW, believe that you need booktype set to DVD-Rom

best way to change a liteon is to go on their site and get the utility called booktype135

or in imgburn (successor of dvddecrypter)

No, I believe your problem has nothing to do with FW.

your video backup are good since they work on other DVD, your x360 plays original OK so I am lead to believe that it is your laser that would require pot calibration in order to play burned disc.

Now you need to think that one carefully that means opening your x360 and voiding your warranty!!!

Did anyone else notice that he has MII Verbatim media.  That could definitely be the issue.

Definitely a media issue then.  You guessed right (MIS versus MII).  MIS Verbs are definitely the best.

Yup, one should also add that the 8x official rated discs although a bit more expensive are guaranteed to be made in Singapore.
