All Backups Show As Dvd Video
« on: November 13, 2007, 12:25:00 PM »

Hey all,

I looked through a lot of topics, but couldn't find an answer.  I've tried burning my isos that i created before the ss patch with the error that they are dvd videos.  I then tried to do the patch and still the same thing.  Please help as I have made about 20 verbatim dl coasters so far.  I have a Xeno that has been installed professional (and tested they say).

Thanks a lot !!!

PS - Originals and DVDs play fine - Thanks

What drive/software are you using to make the backups?

I'm not sure.  My friend is the expert (i thought) but he's stumped.  I think he said he flashed my Hitachi drive with something and extracted them using wxripper.  I assure you that these are genuine backups as I work in the recording industry and do not take place in any kind of downloading as I've seen in other threads.  I know a lot about computers, but am just getting into this as a project.  What a challege (and expensive if you're unsuccesful).  Could a dashboard update be the problem?

Thanks

 extracted them using wxripper.

using that method does NOT get you perfectly stealthed games, which you need to run in iXtreme flashed 360 drives.

I'd ask what would be the best procedure to do this (at least let me know what the best drive to burn with is) but im sure that you will tell me to search the forum.  At least throw me a bone about how much difference the burner makes if any.

Thanks for helping out a xbox 1 vet and 360 newb.

The only PC DVD-ROM models the can be used with Kreon FW to rip entire games (including SS, DMI, PFI,Video and game partitions) with XBCreator (or Schtrom) are: IDE = SH-D162C and TS-H352C; SATA =SH-D163A and TS-H353A.
And every letter in the designation is important (i.e. SH-D162A is not good)

You'll need to get a pc DVD drive with Kreon firmware to rip the original using Xbox Backup Creator or Schtrom to get a perfectly stealthed ISO.  A couple of reliable fellas sell the drives in the Buy/Sell/Trade forum.
