Is anyone else having problems backing up their orange box dvd using xbc2.5 and kreon SH-D163A.

Locks up at 1.99 gig and throws up thousands of errors b4 hand.

Sorry if this is like the 100thpost about it. I did seach Orangebox and returned nothing.

This is PAL UK Retail release bought earlier today.

actually I forgot to check to see if there was an update to drive firmware and xbc, xbc2.6 is out so will try with that and look for updated firmware for tsst as well

there is also a newer firmware for the drive.

Never bothered checking for a while as I have not been unable to backup any game I own.

XBC was recently updated to 2.6 which now backs up both layers of the video partition.  This is called "SplitVid" format vs. the older "Xtreme" format.

It turned out to be the Sata cable had gone faulty somehow, as I popped another brand new sh-d163a drive in and it still did it.

Checked to see if there was some filter driver corruption after installing br software still did it so last resort opened another sata cable and replaced the one connected to 163a (glad it was cable and not the actual sata port) all is fine now and the 1st 163a is fine also.

I never use backups on Live but will start to use 2.6 now.
