I was trying to back up my originals and had a few questions.

1) I flashed my samsung using the iXtreme firmware and understand that I can't use my xbox to back up the games.

2) I am trying to do the swap method and am running into problems. Do I need a specific dvd rom/drive to do this?

3) I understand you need a large movie/data dl disk. I burnt a disk equal to 8.5gb but it only registers as 8.1. Why is this? Does it affect finding the magic key?

4) Right now I am testing the method on Forza 2 with no success. Just wondering, I can back up Forza 2 correct? Are there any games out there that can not be backed up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Then, how are you going to get the SS, dmi, pfi...??

well I didn't plan on using the samsung drive to rip games... can I not use method 3 on off the 360 for dummies guide and do the swap/wxripper method?

in order to have a iXtreme compliant backup, you need to get the stealth and security component in your backup.
this needs a Kreon drive in your PC (or a samsung fw 5.3 or before).
If you have that, no point in using wxripper, so that method has lost most of its value.
