Backing Up A Disk With Read Errors?

I am trying to backup one of my games using XBC , when it gets to around 12% it starts detecting read errors and i have the option to fill with zero`s. The file it is struggling to read is a .wmv file. My questions are:

1 If i just keep clicking the fill with zero`s option is there a good chance the backup will not work?
2 Is there a way to get it to automatically fill with zero`s?
