Can't Get Burned Game To Run On X360
« on: September 29, 2007, 08:49:00 PM »

I just burned a 7 gig game onto a DVD + R DL using Nero 7. I tested it on my X360 and the screen displayed the message that the console needs to be updated with a game update. I updated my console. After restart the dvd was not be being read. The error displayed said that the disc is unreadable, wipe it with a soft cloth etc.

Anyone know why it isn't working?

yes it does.....but i don't know how to burn an x360 dvd. Does anyone know why do I get the error "Unreadable disc"? The disc surface is scratch free. So is there a problem with NERO? Do I have to get some other software?

What did you use to make the backup with? is it patched? what type firmware do you have on your 360 drive?

My backup's size is

7.29 GB (7,835,492,352 bytes)

The game is FIFA 08 PAL

Is this size normal?

The first DL I burned, the one that is "unreadable", gives this info in IMGburn

HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H10A JL02 (USB)
Current Profile: DVD+R DL

Disc Information:
Status: Complete
Erasable: No
Sessions: 1
Sectors: 3,825,936
Size: 7,835,516,928 bytes
Time: 850:14:36 (MM:SS:FF)
Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x, 4x

DVD±R DL Boundary Information:
L0 Data Zone Capacity: 1,913,040
Changeable: No

TOC Information:
Session 1...
-> Track 01  (Mode 1, LBA: 0 - 3825935)
-> LeadOut  (LBA: 3825936)

Physical Format Information (Last Recorded):
Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D01-67
Book Type: DVD-ROM
Part Version: 1
Disc Size: 120mm
Maximum Read Rate: Not Specified
Number of Layers: 2
Track Path: Opposite Track Path (OTP)
Linear Density: 0.293 um/bit
Track Density: 0.74 um/track
First Physical Sector of Data Area: 196,608
Last Physical Sector of Data Area: 16,580,463
Last Physical Sector in Layer 0: 2,109,647

Layer Information:
Layer 0 Sectors: 1,913,040 (50%)
Layer 1 Sectors: 1,912,896 (50%)

Now I believe the Layerbreak is incorrect. But the the .dvd file alongwith the ISO contains the correct layerbreak info. Then why didn't it work?
