Need Help - Already Wasted Three Dl Verbatim Disks

You might need to update the firmware on your DVD Burner in order to change the booktype to DVD-ROM.  I suggest checking out http://rpc1.org.   Also which firmware do you have flashed to your 360 DVD-ROM drive?

Checked but they dont have my drive firmware there  sad.gif . (I have an LG "HL -DT -ST DVDRAM GSA-4083N". came with the LG laptop i bought a year ago.)

I dont know. My wife bought me this second hand console for my birthday from someone who already mod-ed it. Is there a way for me to know without taking it apart? (I also dont know if i have a Samsung or Hitatchi drive in the console.)

unsure.gif . I remember that at one time one application notified (well actually reprimanded me smile.gif) me for not selecting the .dvd extension and it will do so for me (how nice of it smile.gif), but i'm not sure this was at the time i burned the image.
You think i should try again or do i have to fix the DVD-RAM issue first?

After reading some more posts in several forums i though it might be relevant to add that when i put the second dvd i burned (using nero) on the pc i see a 'movie' saying the dvd can only be used (or some such) by xbox. The third one (burned using ImgBurn) doesnt display this movie.

you can't MAKE an xbox 360 image with Imageburn.

I meant what drive, software etc, are you using to rip the original game with?

My personal opinion is that he is using an older version of the firmware on his 360 DVD-ROM which requires the booktype but due to the fact that he doesn't have a booktype setting firmware for his burner, he is producing coasters.
