Xbox 360 Will Play Ridge Racer 6, But Won't Back Up

Hello,

I'm trying to make a legal backup of Ridge Racer 6 for my nephew (personally, I find RR6 annoying).
It plays in both of our Xbox 360s fine, but when I try to copy it I get a  bunch of Sector and Partition LBA errors in Xbox Backup Creator 2.5.  Schtrom360 Xtract V3.2 stops right off, XBC will go to 256MB before it stops.

I noticed a small crack in the game around the disc's hole, but if the RR6 disc will play in both of our Xbox 360s then why won't it backup?  

I've made backups of three of my games so far without any problems.
I have the SH-D162c with Kreon .081 firmware.
