the disk are bad, get some verbatim, in DL there is a huge difference between the leader and the others, much more than SL.

Yeah, I got 1 working backup out of 10, and 1 which froze at menu. I was in the same position as you - my local store only had these disks. I then went out and bought a 3pk of Fujifilm disks for 5 pounds, 2 successful burns and ive got one left - I would recommend these disks if you are in the UK

And I am using CloneCD burning at 2.4x. ImgBurn never works for me.

Do the Mirror ones say made in Taiwan?  Ricoh is the most faked DL media ID out there right now.

mabey pspmachine can tell you.
I managed to make successful backups of call of juarez, overlord & dirt so far
out of 20 of these dvd's lol. I wasnt able to make a good backup of saints row,
its says loading but never actually loads, the darkness keeps giving a dirty disc error at the same spot
& bioshock gives a dde before loading the first level. Not gonna waste my time and money with these dvd+r dl's again. looks like verbatims the way to go, just gonna have to wait until I get some more £ cause I already blew it all. prob wont be for about 2 weeks sad.gif
