Which dual layer dvd discs exept verbatim is the best for xbox360 dvd rom drives and why?
To me with philips dual layer dvd disc in some games it bring me the message: "The disc is dirty..."
Does anyone have this problem too? And if it does how it solve it?

compatibility thread is not to ask question but to report compatibility. merged to this one.

First Philips and Ridisk are usually both made by CMC MAG (not the best, really) as per this must read post on Media. you were always using the same disk in fact.

The gap of quality between verbatim and the others is much higher in DL media than SL, so I would try using them.
If you really cant, probably that ritek made are the best second option (check the thread above).

if you still have that it  could be you laser , clean laser -->> pot calibration  -->> replace laser is the usual order.

Ridisc is also one of the accursed e-net labels.  No way would I trust my money to overprints and factory rejects.   dry.gif

I agree with the others there is no substitute to Verbatim... for people that complain about cost..

I would estimate the success rate is 50% using other brand media.. so multiply the cost by 2X and see if you still save.

In some countries in Europe that is actually possible, however if the buyer is astute they can usually search around and find some relatively cheap places to get Verbatim.  *hint hint*
