If you get them from newegg they are alot cheaper than in a store like best buy or circuit city.

Some cheaper discs will work but overtime fail sooner and might not work with all drives. Verbatims are better quality and should produce longer lasting backups that work on most drives. I'd go with the more expensive option and save myself the hassle further down the line. I'm just going by what I've read btw.

dont be a cheap ass and just pay for the verbs.  You arent gonna save much anyhow maybe 25-50 cents a disc.  Quality over quantity

They still do and if you order 4 packs or more you get free shipping.  @the original post, unless you live in Europe there really is no cause for complaint and the cheaper discs really don't save you any money in the long run.

as far as being more expensive, it depends where you are, but if you shop wisely, you can usually get them at a good price.
