Stuck In Pio Mode

Ok I have 2 TS-H943's I use to rip games (with XBC v2.5), but one of them is stuck in PIO mode, I can't get it into DMA (so it takes forever to dump a game, max 2.3x).

The FW on the drive that works in DMA reports as an MS25, and the other is spoofed as a Hitachi V47, XBC still recognizes it as a TS-H943, but only in PIO mode.

Is there any way to fix this? Or does DMA mode only work on sammies that actually report as a sammy?
