Ok i'm not 100% if this is in the correct forum but...

Every time i make or get a backup for my copy of the darkness it fails to load. 19/20 it will go to the dash board and say reading disk the open tray.

1/20 the game will actually boot up and play fine.

Any ideas what might be causing this problem?

software for extraction
drive/fw
any items merged to it..
all details on how the image was made plse

My xbox 360 has a samsung drive with xeno-306 chip make backups by extracting with xbox backup creator then patch the iso with nme-360 associator burn with imgburn on verbatum dl 15 backups never a problem untell these 2 games both play for a little bit then freeze up on me anyone else having problems with these 2 games or have any ideas how to fix them.

can you try removing your harddisk, and then boot the game to see if you have the same

Well i got hour of victory to work by standing box on its side Darkness still no go i did try it with HD removed same thing been reading on the web many even with no mods to xbox are having problems with it freezing went back and tried the orignial and that one freezes also some tell me its an overheating prob. but i can play grears of war for hours no problems.

yes boh these games did it on me also does anyone know how to fix the games if so tell me please im so worried coz i cant play these games till they freeze

Just coppied The Darkness (PAL) on my SH-D162c using XBC 2.5 and singapore Verbatims and it works so far, only played for 10 mins though .

I posted in another thread my darkness back up was ok but the 2nd time i tried playing it i cant get past the intro car chase without getting the dirty disk error

Ripped using a SH-D162c Kreon .81 with XBC 2.5 and burned using a pioneer 112d with verb +r

no problems ripping or burning seems an odd coincidence theres so many people haveing the same problem with just a single game

Have yall tired using schtrom 3.2 too, I stopped useing xbc2.5, because i had similar problems with shadowrun, useing xbc2.5 it would do simular things with it, and it acted up with surfs up too, so I just use schtrom 3.2 now, i think xbc2.5 needs a update eventhough people say its the same as schtrom 3.2. That is when my walmarts still sold vertbram dl, but since i started using schtrom 3.2 no problems. thats all the info i have on this situation.
