Hello Xbox-Scene and listeners.
I have:
-Xbox 360, orig firmware on dvd drive, Original games need to back up.
-A Pioneer DVR-112D and a HL-DT-ST-DVD-RW GWA-4164B DVD-RW DL's.
-A Emachine 80g hd, win xp home sp2, 512mb DDR SDRAM, AMD Athlon 64 2 GHz, 17 in. CRT Display, 1600 MHz bus speed, PCI Express voi.
-ADSL Connection to a new Linksys wired router.
I have attempted to backup my games with Schtrom360XtractV3.2 and Xbox Backup Creator, both programs fail at some point. Schtrom360XtractV3.2 just has a pop up saying "Only Xbox extraction is supported on this drive" and Xbox Backup Creator wont even let me push the start button. I belive its because I have not flashed my firmware correctly.
I have attempted to flash my Pioneer 112D firmware but only found that the drive will still not read the xbox 360 game i own.
i went to
http://tdb.rpc1.org/ and then to the Pioneer 112d Firmware.
The Pioneer DVR-112D originaly came with 1.15 firmware
I have tried on 8.06 INT (Buffalo-Internal) but the error pops up saying "available target is not found error" when trying to flash the pioneer drive.
then reflashed it back to 1.15 with TDB Flasher w/Kernel on the same page
The Pioneer website has an update to 1.21
Having a smaller game disk shouldnt matter, Its still a xbox360 game?
I know where to go to flash my Xbox 360 drive so im good there.
So my questions are:
How do i flash one/or both of my dvd-rw dl drives to support reading of my Xbox 360 Disks i need the drives to be able to change the Booktype?
Should I just use the update on pioneers website for the 1.21?
