I've only been backing up games for about 2 mnths but I am using a SH-D163A KREON V0.80 with XBC 2.5 0230 inc the Split-DVD patch for XBC.  I was origianlly using Firmware 5.3a and backups were working fine.  I changed to iextreme 1.0 and lost 50% of my backups with a dirty disk error and today I upgraded to iextreme 1.2 and know have only 2 disks that work with the others all bringing up "Please use this disk with a Xbox 360 Console" or something like that.  I have always used the same software and hardware only the disk cahnged from datawrites to  Infiniti 360's only the ones that were copied with the datwrites are working know.

It seems to me that the firmware is stopping the disks working but considering all backups wre done with the same software i.e XBC they should all work or all not work I would say.

Anyway my 360 is getting tired of being opened all the screws in it will not go tight anymore and those this tabs that you have to push in at the back are getting distryed by the screwdriver so I need to get this problem sorted out once and for all.

I have used XBC to do a stealth check and it says stealth passed on all disks so I need some advice please I'm out of disks at present do to so may disks not working in the 360 and am going to try and order some Vert's when money recovers on friday but can't risk losing all these aswell.

Is there a new way the firmware is checking for stealth that XBC does not pass or something ?  AS it seems to be the firmware stealth checks causing this.

lose the splitvid, infact redline said not to use it for now. He may come with an adapted version later.

XBCr + Kreon (no splitvid) or schtrom + kreon, it should all be fine.

How do I lose the splitvid I uninstalled xbc and reinstalled but I still have split vid options also i've allready got lots of files on Computer that have been changed to splitvid format can I change them back or something or have I got to start all over again.  Do you reckon the splitvid is causing all my problems then ?  I know it seemed to be working ok with iextreme v1.0.

I'm curious as to why you changed it.

as far as I know , you don't need to change anything unless you're planning on playing live.

if so, you can't play online with backups anymore anyways. they'll ban you.

you go in options and remove "Build SplitVid ISO"
As for redoing them, get rid of those converted already, and redo them from the original without splitvid.

Thanks for Help.  Just checked all disks again and only the 2 that work have been done without split vid.  So it seem sthe problem has been solved.  Use Splitvid and the backups will not work.

XDVDMulleterBeta8 was used to check and was spot on.  All games using splitvid showed up as not extreme compatible.

if you use the ixtreme firmware, games that aren't stealthed aren't going to boot at all. this bios prevents the booting of unsafe discs that could potentially get you banned. if you aren't careful, you can get banned from live by playing unstealthed discs (on older firmware revisions, since ixtreme won't boot unstealthed discs), even if you don't take the discs online.
