Help With Backing Up Bullet Witch Please
« on: March 29, 2007, 04:41:00 PM »

I am trying to back up my copy of Bullet Witch but am having trouble. I have never had trouble backing up a game before but this one gets to 3.51% in xbox back up creator then just hangs and says program not responding. Have redone another game and it still works so I have no idea what is going on with Bullet Witch. I have a sh-d162c with kreon v.81 and use IMGBurn to write the back ups. Have also tried updating to v2.5 of back up creator but same problem. Thanks

that can be a frustrating one!!

what drive do you have in your x360

try Schtrom

if not,  try extracting just the SS with xbcr or schtrom or dvdinfopro (here)

when you have the SS, get the other pieces (DMI, PFI, video, game partition) one by one with XBCr, then merge with SSmerger1.7b .

Ok I have tried a few of your suggestions Soso but I am still having problems. Here is what is going on: I can extract the ss, dmi and pf using xbox back up creator but then it hangs when trying to unlock the current partition. So then i tried Schtrom which let me extract everything so I thought yeah this is going to work but then SS merger just hung when I was merging it. Do you have any more ideas that may be able to help me??? Maybe I will have to just play from the original, but I would really like to have a win here don't want to admit defeat you know!

Love it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ,

are you sure it hangs, because ssmerger takes quite some time, give it a good 15 min maybe a bit more.

Yeah SS Merger is definitely not doing anything constructive. Let it go for half hour and still nothing, so brought up task manager and same thing as back up creator PROGRAM NOT RESPONDING. Talk about frustrating because its only this game as I have been able to back up NBA Street Homecourt. So thanks for your help anyway and if you don't have any more advice or ideas then I guess its time to wave the white flag and surrender to the Bullet Witch!!!

I hear what your saying man its just it is only happening with Bullet Witch. I have tried Back Up creator and schtrom with my other games and no probs getting the Iso file from them just dramas with Bullet Witch. Have also tried closing everything down and trying from a fresh restart but same problem.
PC specs are Athlon 64 3000+, 1024MB Ram, 80GB HDD, SH-162c with Kreon v.81 and LG dual layer burner (1633s Ithink is model). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I do agree it sounds like a prob within my PC just can''t understand why only Bullet Witch seems to be affected.

Yeah thanks for the links, that was going to be my last resort. By the way is there any chance the original disc could be the issue??? Was just thinking somewhere along the way a poor quality game would have to hit the strore shelves wouldn't it? Just a thought, I really don't know what MS quality control is like. Thanks for all your help anyways

It is so strange that it might be,
I usually like those challenges, but somehow I am not sure what to think here.

if you have a x360 samsung, maybe you can try with that instead of your Kreon
If you have a pioneer burner, you could also try with wxripper

All unsure

Finally I have a back up of Bullet Witch. Not sure why but I decided to entirely remove Xbox Back up Creator v2.5 from my PC and reinstall it and what do you know Bullet witch didn't cause me any more problems, worked first time. Still not sure why I was only having trouble with Bullet Witch and nothing else but I am happy now!
