No Writers Detected With Imgburn - Any Clues

Hi all i have my file ready to burn, copied my backup and associated for nme

change the layer break etc and ready to burn - well i thought so my Samsung SH 162c Burner is on and installed on my E-Drive via my USB port "laptop"

shows up in my computer, cant seem to figure out where on imgburn to detect the drive


anyone help ???

just to add

xbox backup creator v2.3 finds the drive no problem

E: tsst corp dvd rom  sh-d162c ts04 - (SPTI)


proberly something very easy that im missing

are you trying to burn to your sh-D162C?? (because it is only a DVD-ROM, not a burner),

if not what burner exactly are you using?

lol ive been so wrapped up in everything ive lost the plot, ive got a dvd burner nec nd6550a but its playing up on vista

i hate fkin vista its a load of crap


ok so i read with the samsung dvd rom and then burn it with my normal burner


any idea's if anyone's been succesful with loading there samsung rom with vista as ive had problems with drivers

looks like vista is off and xp pro is coming back

many people were successful with vista. A few had to keep a small partition for XP.

dont suppose you have a thread link handy ??

i cant get my samsung dvd rom to locate a driver - just tells me there's no driver available


id rather keep vista going "home premium"  but if not its gotta go
